Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee. ｢Tabitabi Kawama｣is located between Kamo-river and Takase-river, and the word 〝Kawama〞means inter-river in Japanese. On the second floor, there is a specially-built independent balcony facing to Kamo-river. The design of house is based on the traditional Japanese style, such as wallpaper made of tinfoil and traditional tatami.

The house is composed of 4 private apartments.

There is very quiet surrounded by hotels and residences, yet convenient reach of bus routes to other landmarks in Kyoto.
