Harper's Haven is about 30 min from Baton Rouge & about 45 minutes from downtown New Orleans. Sleeps 6, offering a King size bed, & 2 Queen beds. The kitchen is fully equipped including a Keurig. There is also a laundry room with a washer/dryer & utility sink. Enjoy grilling or relaxing on the patio, or fishing and kayaking in the pond.

The boat slip is within the subdivision, making it a quick way to dock your boat at the private pier behind the home. Plenty of places to explore up & down the river. Tickfaw State Park is upriver and there are four night clubs that play live music, with pier docking, & dining. Lake Maurepas is 14 miles down river. Manchac Middendorf 20 miles down river. You can navigate to anywhere from the house.

The Gator Getaway

The Gator Getaway is the perfect escape from reality located in the swampy town of Manchac, Louisiana. It is the ideal place for a stay near the water with no boat required! The historic building was the original Church of Manchac and was remodeled into a home. Located within walking distance to the famous Middendorf's Restaurant! Also nearby is the public boat launch, Sun Buns river bar boat taxi, and other local favorite spots! Located about 40 miles outside of New Orleans.

Hobbit House

Please read detailed description of property before booking. Set in a 22 acre parcel on the Natalbany River 6.5 miles from downtown Hammond. Enjoy nature with a walk along the trail from house to river. This building has been built with mostly reclaimed, reused and upcycled materials. The rustic interior walls are clad in huge boards milled on the property after Katrina damage. Note the unusual shower with handmade tiles. There are other unique structures on property.

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Close to highway, the university, and 40 minutes to either New Orleans or Baton Rouge airports. Studio apartment with convertible twin futon. 3-4 people sleep comfortably. Owner close and happy to leave you alone or help you with various things to make your stay fantastic! Smoke-friendly outdoors only! Smoking indoors prohibited. Maximum 2 pets. Cat-friendly! No unreported guests.

Relax at this peaceful home located on a quiet dead end road near the Natalbany River. Bedroom #1 has a queen bed. Bedroom #2 has a twin over double twin bunk bed. The L shaped sofa folds out into an extra large sofa bed. We provide all linens and an initial supply of toilet paper, soap, etc. to get you through your first 24 hours. Outside, are two patio sets, bbq grill, fire pit, and a playground *Guest room closet is for maintenance & inaccessible to guests

This home is a quaint, waterfront oasis, with space to enjoy friends and family inside or outside. It is just minutes by foot, car and/or boat to restaurants, bars and many water events. With prior notification to host you may have full access to onsite boat slip. Depending on size of boats slip can host up to 2 boats at one time. Come and see why this is OUR happy place, and it could quickly become your happy place.
