Silver Wattle cottage is set in gardens where wombats, wallabies and lyrebirds are frequent visitors. Walk through forest or dine in on the cottage deck with a sunset. Wood fire, double spa bath, separate bedroom and living room and full kitchen. Healesville cafes, shops and wineries are 15 minutes away.

Menzies Cottage is an hour east of Melbourne & set high on a mountain-side in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Enjoy views out to the Wellington Road farmlands & Cardinia Reservoir. On a clear day you can see Arthur’s Seat, Port Phillip & Westernport Bays. Visit nearby Puffing Billy Steam Train, go bushwalking, feed the friendly farm animals or settle-in for a lazy afternoon before watching the sun set. The cottage is fully self contained & with your own private entrance, deck & enclosed garden.

Emerald is a beautiful scenic town popular for its picturesque lake and parks and Puffing Billy. Nestled in between the quaint towns of Cockatoo and Belgrave, Emerald is a frequently visited town among tourists to the Dandenong Ranges region. Whispering Trees is a beautiful modern bungalow on our 1 acre property which is completely separate from the main house and within walking distance to the township. We think our bungalow is best suited for couples and solo adventurers and small families.

The standard price for the cottage is for 2 guests, encompassing a king room with en suite, lounge room, kitchenette including breakfast supplies and snacks, and a deck with views of the Yarra Valley. Should you have more than 2 guests, the second queen room and full en suite will need to be booked for an additional flat price of $180 per night, max 2 people. The cottage sleeps 4 people maximum. If you are booking for 2 guests and you require the second bedroom you need to book for 3 people.

We live in a separate dwelling on-site—here to assist if needed but won’t interrupt your relaxing stay. Chat with our friendly dogs, George (Bull Mastiff) & Myrtle (Bulldog), highland cow, sheep, duck, and chooks.

Neighbouring wineries, such as Coldstream Hills, Yarra Yering, Medhurst and Oakridge, are two minutes away, and Healesville is an easy 8 minute drive. If you want a a relaxing getaway, you will love the interior space with its well-equipped kitchen and spacious dining area. Herb gardens edge the back deck, and the front verandah catches the afternoon sunset. The cottage is a gorgeous getaway.
