Private beach cabin, Vashon Island

Some say the cabin has a nautical feel with galley kitchen, wood paneling and brass light fixtures. In the bathroom, copper pipes become towel racks. Outside there are deck chairs and more by the water along with a meditation maze made from beach stones. The lighthouse is a short beach walk away. The reading and writing room, across the path, is a refuge for solitary study or work. Enjoy the water, marine life and birds here where each season brings new joy and sometimes, excitement.

A relaxing 20-minute ferry trip from West Seattle or Water Taxi from downtown Seattle brings you to your own private cozy, Studio cottage with sweeping views of the Sound. Watch the ferries go by, relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Olympic mountains, kayaking, a forest hiking trail with sea and Mount Rainier views, beach walks, and downtown Vashon (less than 10 mins away!). Please note: The parking lot is a few minute walk from the cottage.

Completely separate and private guest suite walking distance to downtown Winslow (1/2 block), the ferry (.6 miles), the harbor and the 8.5 acre Moritani Preserve (1 block) away Easy access via a code. I am always available for questions.. I live in the main house in the front but you will have complete privacy. It's a very safe area and people are warm and friendly. Check out the farmers' market on Saturdays at Bainbridge Performing Arts. You have space to park one car in the carport.

Bright cozy studio cottage on the north end of Vashon. Puget Sound, Mount Baker and nature views. Newly renovated throughout with large deck to enjoy the outdoor fire pit and water views. Quiet neighborhood within 10-15min walking distance to and from the ferry (note there is an incline as we are on the hill above). Deer, hawks, eagles and more surround the property. Come enjoy a local jewel and experience small island living, just a 20 minute ferry ride away from Seattle!

This unique space, just a block away from Puget Sound, provides the feel of woodsy seclusion with convenient access to Des Moines Marina, Normandy Beach Park, and SeaTac airport. Watch your head! The angled ceiling upstairs is low, but even our tallest guests can enjoy the coziness of the loft bedroom. Centrally located between Seattle and Tacoma (25 minutes each), with Angle Lake Light Rail train station near by, for low cost travel to Seattle’s downtown attractions.

You'll have your own cozy, newly-remodeled cottage on a two-acre property with a fruit orchard, hammocks, chickens, and aspen grove. Easy parking and access to public transportation. Very safe neighborhood and a great central location for bike touring. LGBTQ+ friendly.

Vashon Island is a beautiful, enchanting place and our guest cottage is in a uniquely gorgeous spot. Nestled above the water on a high bluff, the view literally takes your breath away; Puget Sound, Cascade mountains and sunrises that astound. It may be hard to believe an island paradise is so close to two major cities, but time seems to have stopped on Vashon. It's a magical place; come visit and let the spell work on you!

The Red Barn on Happiness Farm

The Red Barn sits at the end of a long gravel driveway through the woods far from roads and neighbors. Guest parking is adjacent to the Barn. Guests are welcome to enjoy the property and explore. Please respect the plants and the animals, and leave any gates closed. Key access to the Red Barn is provided.
