This 3400 sq foot, 4 bedroom, 3 bath home is situated on 53 private acres bordering the Jefferson National Forest. Enjoy private trails throughout the property. When daylight fades share stories with your family around a roaring campfire. The lodge has a new filtration system for sulfur-free water.

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away offering free river access. (Please note that the river is not directly accessible from the property). It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!
