Welcome to the High Country Hobo Preserve. This hidden gem is nestled in the Cleveland National Forrest. Guest cabin has all amenities: wood burning fireplace, board games, fishing poles, bottle house, bbq, and gold pans for when the creek is flowing. An outdoor fire pit if winds are calm. It has old character, unique charm, and is close to old mining town, Julian. Kitchen has fridge, hot plate, grill, microwave, coffee maker- coffee tea provided. Pets welcome, has dog door, fenced yard.

Enjoy refreshments on private patio while taking in the sights of palm trees and endless hills. Located 15 miles from the beach and 20 minutes from many major San Diego attractions. Please note: we currently have an outdoor renovation project in process behind the casita. There may be days during your stay in which outdoor work is being performed.

Welcome to our family petting zoo farm and horse ranch in Jamul! Our small ranch is in a quiet, beautiful valley with miles of trails right outside our gate. We horses, mini donkeys, goats, chickens and we sell fresh eggs, ask us! We are a 30 minute drive to the beaches, downtown San Diego, and most SD attractions. Locally we have a gas/convince/liquor store. Rancho San Diego is a 10 minute drive with Target, Grocery, Starbucks and many restaurants. We have hot water and WIFI.

Back Country Retreat

Back Country Retreat is nestled under oak trees and surrounded by a natural rock setting. You will be greeted with several flower gardens. The retreat has a lovely flagstone patio with outdoor gas firepit and custom cedar bar. Pine Valley has clear night skies with no light pollution. You will feel right at home in this quiet neighborhood with access to the Cleveland National Forest for hiking, biking or birding. Owners live on the same property, so you may see them.

More like a national park than a home, we've found that guests enjoy the pace and peaceful surroundings and spend most of their visit without leaving. That being said, if you're feeling more exploratory, there are many options within a short drive including hiking, wine tasting, horseback riding, fishing, and even sky-diving.
