The Potting Shed is a light, homely space, cleverly and beautifully designed, with a luxury bed to rest in after a day walking on the moor or at the beach. A peaceful, private hideaway, which is accessible, with underfloor heating, wood burning stove and skylights. Open 2 sets of bi-folding doors to let fresh country breezes circulate. Wander out to a split-level garden for a spot of sunshine. There are plenty of spaces to relax inside and out, with patios to the side and rear, a back garden and the handcrafted bat palace to sit in whatever the weather or evening time with a fire. The Potting Shed and studio building in our garden on the edge of the National Park in the unique town of Ashburton. The Potting Shed overlooks Place woods and is a secluded eco space designed and built by us with thermostatically controlled underfloor heating, powered by an air source heat pump and Morso wood burning stove. In the summer, open both bifold doors to experience birdsong and take in the beautiful green canvas of trees ahead of you. We have created a light, homely space with design classics and luxury bed to rest after a day walking on the moor or at the beach. There are plenty of spaces to relax inside and out, with patio spaces to the side and rear of the property, a back garden and behind the handcrafted bat palace. Pick your time and your spot to hang out and enjoy the BBQ /firepit. There is plenty of parking on the lane however there is a dedicated parking space for guest at the property. We are close to a local school which also runs a sports centre (Ashmoor Centre), where guests can book tennis courts, attend exercise classes and a gym after 3.30pm in term times and all day at the weekends and during school holidays. There may be some ambient noise in the distance from the school during term time.

We are always available should you need tips on where to go or can leave you to discover and enjoy this area entirely on your own.

Ruby Retreat is a unique Shepherd's Hut hand built in larch, cedar and ash by local carpenter, Peter Milner. His skilled design and craftsmanship gives Ruby a very special feeling. The Little Art House is situated in the picturesque old part of Moretonhampstead on Dartmoor. This compact 17 square metre space has, within its own private entrance, a small, fully equipped kitchen/dining room, a little bedroom with double bed (135cm x190cm) and an en-suite shower room. We also offer free car parking, secure cycle parking and Wi-Fi. There are three separate steps leading up to the property.
