The Writer's Cottage at Shore Hall is a quintessential country cottage nestled into 22 acres of bucolic English countryside with a shared outdoor heated pool and tennis court. Easily accessible to London and airports, the tranquility of our grounds give our guests a peaceful retreat like no other. Boasting its historic clocktower, the Writer's Cottage includes a comfortable sitting room, spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, and three bedrooms.

The recently converted Nissen Barn is located on a farm in its own private meadow. The barn is surrounded by the beautiful Essex countryside - rolling hills, ancient trees, wildflowers and grasses, hedgerows, horses and sheep. The conversion was completed in March 2021 and sleeps 4 adults in 2 big bedrooms. There is also a loft bedroom accessed by a hidden door with a king size mattress suitable for older children or a couple. Perfect for families, but note there is no enclosed garden.

This stunning newly converted barn is an oasis of calm and comfort. Located in the beautiful village of Felsted, Little Larks Barn is on a quiet country lane within 20 minutes of Chelmsford mainline station (London in 35 minutes, 15 minutes to Stansted Airport). Ideal for a peaceful countryside break, yet only one hour away from London. Little Larks is situated next to Larks, a 500-year-old house, but is private, set in a beautiful 2-acre garden with access to the tennis court.

St George’s Cosy Cabin with Jacuzzi Hot Tub

The cabin is situated behind our house down a privately owned lane surrounded by woods and farmland and consists of 1 double bedroom but can easily sleep 2 adults and 2 small children. Cot, highchair and 2 single airbeds are also available. It boasts a large patio with quality furniture solely for guests' use. The jacuzzi is an added luxury and £15 is requested during your stay if used. There is a large fully stocked fishpond of which guests are welcome to feed.
