Little Coombe

Little Coombe welcomes all couples, lone travellers and fellow pooches. Little Coombe is a totally self-contained cottage attached to the main cottage, where the owner lives. It is a tranquil stone cottage sitting by the brook in a small hamlet near Shaftesbury. The cottage was formerly two thatched farm cottages and where our family has lived for nearly 100 years! We live next door in the main cottage, but guests will have their own entrance and garden space and their privacy is guaranteed.

The Cartshed, Cranborne Chase National Landscape

The Cartshed is a converted barn located in the stunning Tarrant Valley. Tastefully decorated throughout, the living room boasts a Swedish log burner and bifold doors out onto your own garden. Nestled at the foot of Hambledon Hill – between Shaftesbury and Blandford – it's only a mile to the excellent village shop and an easy walk over Hambledon hill to The Cricketer's pub for lunch or a pint. Drive to the Jurassic coast (40 mins) to explore Lulworth Cove or visit the gorgeous beach at Studland or Weymouth

Shaftesbury just over a mile with its historic Gold Hill and a good choice of shops and places to eat. It is a good base for exploring the area, offering historic houses, interesting gardens, walks, the Jurassic Coast, Stonehenge, Salisbury and Bath and much more.

The Flower Barn

Beautifully renovated spacious 2 bedroom barn conversion on a traditional Dorset farm yard. Situated in the heart of the Blackmore Vale the Flower Barn is half way between Sherborne and Shaftesbury. Bruton, Hauser and Wirth and The Newt in Somerset are all less than half an hour's drive. Ideal for short breaks, wedding guests, school half terms and holidays and conveniently only 20 mins from the A303. Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral and the Jurassic Coast are only an hour's drive.

The vintage hideaway is a self contained annexe attached to my house. It is light and comfortable, it has a bedroom with sofa, kitchenette with small oven/grill and two hotplates ,fridge, freezer and microwave and a shower room. Access from the bedroom to a seating area on the deck ,over looking an area of outstanding natural beauty. The house is close to lovely walks and the historic town of Shaftesbury with a variety of cafes , individual shops and pubs, and of course Gold Hill.
