The Castanian Cottage is a Scandanavian style cottage which was built in 1972. The owners of the property lived in the Cottage while building ‘The Castanian’ which was one of the grand manors in Cooma. The country estate sprawls over 27 acres. The property overlooks the Cooma golf course. Castanian offers 180-degree views to the snow-capped mountains of the Alpine areas, and also the Brindabella Mountains. Also on the site is a Swedish Cedar Sauna available to RENT to soothe those muscles after a hard day of exercise.

Our very private Eco Cottages are fully self contained and fully sustainable with 100% solar power and all water used is rain water which is collected on site. The individual cottages are very private in parkland surrounds. Situated only 2klm from the centre of town. There are no neighbours and is very quiet. There are many native animals on site. The cottages have a full kitchen with oven, hotplates and microwave. All linen is supplied. They are very large with 80 sq m living.
