Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Great, views, outdoor spaces, fire pit, BBQ, lrg spa, 55 inchTV w/5.1 surround. Steps from marina. Holds up to 6 , 2 bedrooms (2 queens), plus comfy pull out Queen bed on sun porch. Ping pong in game room garage. Large yard with apple and pear tree for delicious eating. Kayak rentals available including Life vests.

Bright converted garage with separate entrance nestled between the Bluffs and Mount Galiano. Enjoy a hot beverage, tea or coffee, or have a cold drink from your bar fridge while you wait for your BBQ. Your private deck overlooks a meadow perfect to enjoy a re-heated meal from the local restaurants. You are very welcome to use our fenced yard. Access to magnificent Mount Galiano is only minutes away! Your rural home on “The Gem of the Gulf Islands” is perfect for 2 adults plus a smaller teenager.

SuiteVista

SuiteVista is close to Beautiful Mill Hill Park in a quiet neighborhood with a view of mountains and mighty trees. Just a 30 min walk or 6 min drive to Goldstream (the heart of Langford). Royal Roads University is only a 15 min bike ride away. The evenings are so peaceful here. During the day you hear the neighboring sounds sometimes but still peaceful most of the time. SuiteVista was just renovated. SuiteVista has its own laundry room and an electric fireplace. WiFi, Cable and Parking included.

Stay at the Sunburnt Mermaid Cottages by boat (nearby marina), ferry or plane. Hot tub with views of sparkling waters of Westsound. Early arrival/late departure at $25/hour when available. Heated Pool (May 15-Sept 25th) ,Fire Pit, outdoor barbecue/ kitchen. Kayak rentals available. Enjoy our Organic vegetable gardens and fruit orchard. Guest rooms have microwave, toaster, fridge, tea kettle, hot plate, internet and ROKU TV. Private exclusive hot tub use October through April 30. Max 2 adults.

Seals, otters, eagles and deer are your neighbors. Walk to Turtleback Mountain south trailhead for grand views above. The secluded Hot Tub is tucked under cedar trees, over the beach, private for either cabin, but not at the same time.

We love our quiet country home that we decided to share the back separate part of our home for mature Airbnb guest. We also decided to make the minimum stay for 7 days. Ideal for somebody who likes to work remotely, vacation or your in the Navy looking for something temporarily. We have 1.7 Landscape acres where the Island deer and Eagles roam free.
