House of Blue is a cottage on our property offering two queen bedrooms perfect for relaxing, a front porch seating area to have your cup of morning coffee or just a nice conversation & back deck with an eating area & plenty of lighting at night. The outdoor area features a fire pit, picnic table, and optional grill. Our home is convenient to Combine Academy, the hospital, drivable to downtown & many wedding venues such as Crowe Mansion. It’s a mile to Hwy 321, 20 mins to I-85 & 20 mins to I-40.

Quiet Studio Apartment, Private 1 BR on our Farm

Studio apartment in the basement of our home. It has its own driveway and entrance. The studio apartment locks from the outside and locks from the rest of our basement. It is about 800 sq. ft. Our house is conveniently located to Hickory (10 miles) Morganton (10 miles) Lenoir (15 miles) Table Rock/Lake James (20 miles) Blue Ridge Parkway( 35 miles) Boone (50 miles) Charlotte (50 miles). We also have a 70 acre cattle and sheep farm that you are free to explore. Very quiet and private.

One of a kind Log Cabin

ONE OF A KIND: We have a guest cabin next to our house, that I built from logs from our property. It has a living area w/woodstove and couch w/recliners, TV, HVAC, bathroom, small kitchen, front porch, back porch, burn pit out back. Wood is supplied. The loft is furnished w/full size bed. The loft and bathroom have very low ceilings so if you are a tall person it will be very tight. Most everything in this cabin has been repurposed so there are lots of vintage items in this little cabin.

The Tuckamore is nestled close to the Rail Trail, an easy walking trail through town. Conveniently located an hour from Charlotte, NC and a half an hour from great hiking in South Mountains State Park. This comfy, cute, and stylish family home is located near Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. Under a 10 minute drive to quaint downtown Hickory with plenty of shopping and historical districts nearby. Stay in and cook a warm meal while relaxing indoors or step out outside and have a seat on the bench under the covered front porch. Listen to the birds singing while flying about in the nearby tree.
