An Architects Studio- In a Secluded Forest

This incredible space has been the inspirational hub for designing the most creative projects in Humboldt during the past 18 years. Now it has been reborn as an immersive space to enjoy the redwoods. Every inch has been thoughtfully designed to allow our guests to feel the enveloping majestic nature of the surrounding forest. Upon arrival, a golf cart awaits for your journey through the woods, to the upper landing of the raised boardwalk crossing over a seasonal creek bringing you to The Studio.

Cliffside Yurt by the River

If you're looking for a unique way to experience nature that still offers the comforts of home, come see what Yurt Life is all about! Tucked away in a manzanita grove and perched on a cliff with the river below, the space offers privacy, views, and close access to the river. This little yurt packs a big punch: kitchenette, comfy lounge chairs, queen bed, table, wifi and ceiling fan. And rather than being a dreaded experience, the attached bathroom with epic views is one of the best features!

We find it hard to leave the deck, but if you like adventures, there's kayaking, fishing, and hiking right out the door! Redwoods, empty beaches, sand dunes, and more within a 20min drive!

Spend more time exploring with the best access to giant redwoods, breathtaking beaches, and phenomenal fishing. Return home to cornhole, foosball, smores, a roaring fire and a movie, and a hot tub under the stars!

Welcome to The Wind and Tide where forest meets sea. Our newly remodeled home is situated on three acres of forested cliffside overlooking the Pacific, just north of the seaside village of Trinidad. Tranquility awaits as you take a dip in the hot tub and relax by the fire pit, soaking up the sounds of sea lions, the views of migrating whales, and sunsets and stargazing galore. Tide-pooling, agate hunting, and exploring Sue-Meg State Park is just a short drive down the road.

Only an 8 minute drive to McKinleyville and the Pacific Ocean, and 15 minutes to Arcata Plaza and Cal Poly Humboldt University. Blankenship Farmhouse is a cozy 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. Fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer & gas BBQ. The home sits at the end of the road with views of lush green pastures that are often filled with horses, cows, elk or hay bales. Maximum occupancy 6 persons. No animals, of any kind, allowed in the house. Hand, dish & laundry soap provided. No shampoo. We are just minutes from Redwood National Park, Prairie Creek State Park & the beach
