Featured on FYI Network's Tiny House Hunters! Very spacious houseboat with a vaulted ceiling in the main cabin (living room). Sleeps 3 comfortably. Lots of room to move around with a queen size bed in the Captain's Quarters (Bedroom) and a twin bed in the living room that's a day bed. FAQ: Q: Location? A: Mid-Peninsula Downtown Charleston which is roughly 1.5 - 2 miles to the heart of the historic district. A five minute / $6 Uber away or take the bikes! The boats are located downtown in a private marina where our 5-6 boats are slipped & only shared with a large mega-yacht that rents the outside slippage 5 months out of the year. We rent this slippage from Seabreeze Dry Stack Marina (49 Immigration Street). This accommodation is for people looking for peace and tranquility as the setting of the marina is quiet and secluded. You'll have a stunning view of Charleston Harbor and the Ravenel Bridge. Q: How can I see all of your boats for rent? A: You can instant book a 1 night rental if it’s the same day as your reservation OR if you see on our calendar that your date fills a 1 night gap. We will respond to an inquiry within minutes most times, most of the time immediately. Q: Is it comfortable? A: VERY! Our boats are designed with live-aboard / stay-aboard in mind with all the creature comforts of home. Fully stocked kitchens, premium furnishings, updated HVAC, TV, Keurig coffee makers… etc. Q: Any restaurants close by? A: TONS! Some of Charleston’s best are within a mile of the marina. Q: How to book: A: If you don’t have any questions after reading over the FAQ below then simple instant book. If you send an inquiry we’ll respond promptly, if not immediately. Q: Why is the price so different for my dates? A: Airbnb automatically sets our prices based on demand & seasonality. If you don’t search with exact dates Airbnb shows the lowest price throughout the season. Prices range from $99 per night for weekday day-of bookings in January all the way to $499 per night for weekends during peak season summer and everywhere in-between. Q: Bathroom… explain! A: The boat is equipped with an apartment sized (12 gallon) water heater ensuring you get hot water throughout the boat. You'll always have enough hot water to enjoy a 10 - 15 minute shower. The boat has a full sized marine toilet that is easy to use as long as you follow our simple instructions. Q: Heat? Air Conditioning? A: Our boats are equipped with BOTH ample Heat & Air Conditioning. No matter the time of year you can be assured that you will be staying in a climate controlled & comfortable environment. Q: Can we take the boats out & drive them? A: No. We don’t carry any insurance for bareboat charters but we do offer captained Charters on specific boats which are really fun! Charters include sightseeing in Downtown harbor, sunset cruises, full hay & ½ day cruises, special moments like engagements, or anything else you can think of. All charter requests are handled via inquiry & paid through Airbnb as part of your stay. Q: Can I check-in earlier than 4 or Checkout later than 10? A: We will do our best. Most days there’s someone checking in the same day there’s a checkout but we try & go above and beyond if this is requested. Q: Can we fish from the dock or boats? A: Absolutely! We ask that you fish either from the side or front of the vessel & stay clear of the props so your line doesn’t get prop/shaft wrapped. Fishing from the dock is also allowed as long as you mind the props of the vessels. You can easily get a fishing license from the DNR online. We operate on the honor system & don’t check for licenses but ask that you support the local DNR & pay the small fee to make it legal. We don’t supply fishing equipment & keep in mind there are no tackle shops in Downtown Charleston. Shrimp from the local Q: What to expect that's different than a hotel? A: It's a boat, it is a unique FUN experience. There may be noises and smells that you'd expect from a boat. Pumps, motors, ocean water, etc. Every boat is broken the day it hits the water, especially salt water. We take great care of our fleet but we expect guests to tell us if anything isn’t working properly & we will PROMPTLY respond & repair. Q: Waves? A: The marina has a sea wall which dilutes any waves. We are also lucky enough to be tucked behind Drum Island at the base of the Ravenel Bridge. which dilutes almost all the waves from the harbor. There is still a small amount of wave action and you'll feel a slight rock from time-to-time, mostly from boats passing by who don’t respect the no wake zone (feel free to yell at them & shake your first while doing so). If there's a bad storm or the wave action gets to a point that your stay is no longer enjoyable, we will do our best (no guarantees) to work out alternative accommodations for you as we have multiple condos Downtown for landlubbers. Your comfort is our top priority. 99% of the time the marina is almost totally flat and calm. We also keep dramamine on the dock incase anyone experiences sea sickness. Q: Will you reduce your price? A: No(ISH)... Maybe, but unlikely. Don’t expect a price reduction unless it’s the slow season & you’re messaging about days within 1-4 days of check-in or you’re looking for a long-term stay in the off season (see next “Q”). If you message us with a booking that somewhat fits the criteria above & tell us a budget we can try & work with you on one of our 6 boats. “Will you reduce the price of a weekend booking a month away” will always be a “no”. Q: Do you do long-term or monthly rentals? A: We have done long term rentals in the past. From March 1 - October 30 the boats are rented at a 90% occupancy rate so the monthly rate is only slightly reduced compared to the daily rate (around 20%). From November through February we’re much more flexible depending on length of stay & which vessel you’re interested in. It helps us to know your budget and we can tell you if we have anything that could work. Q: Smoking? A: On the outside only & please be responsible. Kindly don’t light the boat on fire. Q: Do you allow pets? A: You bet! We ask that dogs not be puppies, don’t scratch at doors, and don’t bark incessantly while you’re away. The boats are close together & a non-stop barking dog isn’t appreciated. We DEEP clean the boats after pets stay aboard due to future guests’ possible allergies so a $75 pet fee is applied for those who travel with pets. If you have a service dog & try to circumvent the pet fee be prepared to present FULL documentation. Q: Can we hold events or parties? A: No. This is a place to relax. We ask that there be no events or parties on the boats so the other guests can enjoy their stay. Q: You charge extra for more than 2 adults, do my kids count? A: Any child over the age of 13 is considered an adult & needs to be represented in the booking inquiry as an additional guest. Q: Is the marina safe? A: VERY. We have 24/7 surveillance & in the 3 years we’ve been here we’ve never had any sort of issue. We share an entrance with the port authority which has a 24/7 guarded gate. You turn into the marina before the guarded gate but it scares off any would-be pests. The parking lot & dock is well lit & the marina is right off East Bay which is one of the main roads in Downtown Charleston. All boats lock from inside & you can padlock the door when you leave if you wish to lock up your belongings. The marina is only us & we’re here daily looking over the fleet. Q: Handicap accessible? A: No. You'll need to get on the boat which requires a 1-2' step and there are steps on the boat. The deck stairs are steep and you'll need to be sure footed. Q: Parking? A: Yes, you can park your car. Since it’s a small private marina the walk to the parking lot from the boat is only roughly 50-70 yards. Q: Can I trailer my small boat & side-tie it to the boat I rented? A: You can bring your boat but it must be arranged with the marina & there’s nowhere to park a trailer. There’s also nowhere close by to slip the boat so do your research on boat landings. The marina will charge you small fee (roughly $40 - $60 nightly) to wet-slip the boat. Q: Space & Comfort? A: You'll find the layout of the boat extremely spacious and comfortable. The bed is a Queen (ish) size. Queen with slight modifications to fit the space. The shower is tall and comfortable for anyone 6’4” & under. Q: I have a non-profit, will you donate a free stay to my gala? A: I’m sure your cause is worthy, but we get this request far too often so we must decline. Q: I’m a blogger / photographer / ninja trainer… will you barter? A: No. Please don’t ask. We don’t pay our slip rent with your blog posts. Q: Will you partner with my local company or buy my advertising? A: We get penalized through Airbnb if we don’t respond to all inquiries which means we must respond to your spam. You won’t like our message so don’t send it. Q: Will this be the best vacation I’ve ever had and should I book now? A: Without a doubt.
Extremely safe and private marina in downtown Charleston. The entrance to the marina is shared with the Port Authority which has a 24/7 guard. There is a train which blocks the road to the marina leading into the port authority but it only comes 1-2X per day. Sometimes it can block the roadway for up to 20 minutes but that is infrequent.

Watch the koi carp swim lazily among the pond lilies before heading to the heated salt water pool, perhaps to expend a little more energy. This rental is a two story villa and an incredibly serene and relaxing space. On the first floor there is a small kitchenette, large living area with pull out sofa, and half bath. The kitchenette includes a full size fridge, toaster oven, microwave, pots & pans, dinnerware, basic cooks tools, and a stove top with two burners. There is no traditional oven or dishwasher. There is a dining table for two but no formal dining area. Sleep comfortably in the king size bed upstairs and enjoy the peaceful natural light that beams through the windows surrounding the entire second floor.
This property is located in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood, which is considered the "Gateway to the Peninsula". Along the Spring Street and Cannon Street corridor are local restaurants, flower shops, bakeries, and small boutiques.

Fix breakfast in the neatly arrayed, straight-aspect kitchen then serve it up at the breakfast bar in this cheery guest suite. The garage-based, studio-style space features no separating walls and offers warm polished wooden floors and a love seat. We JUST PUT IN A QUEEN SIZED BED! So disregard the reviews where people weren’t happy with the full sized bed ( even though it was listed as such when they booked it)!
This is a cool, clean, modern detached garage apartment in Charleston's coolest neighborhood- Avondale. Avondale has been named coolest neighborhood 3 years running by Charleston City Paper, and it's easy to see why. Walk or bike to over a dozen pubs, restaurants, shops, salons, yoga studios, etc... including Pearlz, Al di la, Triangle, The Glass Onion, Mex 1, Gene's Haufbrau, Voodoo, and The Roost, (to name a few) all just a block or so away from the apartment. We are only 3 miles to the heart of historic downtown Charleston, and only 20 minutes to Folly, Sullivan's or Isle of Palms. We are also only a few blocks from the West Ashley greenway- a local biking/walking/running path that cuts through the city. It's a great way to get your exercise in, or to get over to South Windemere shopping center to do a little eating at Med Bistro or shopping at Half Moon Outfitters. The apartment is a true studio- with no walls separating living areas, but it's charming and clean, and you can't beat the location. Fully equipped kitchen as well. This IS NOT downtown Charleston- it is just over the drawbridge from the peninsula. You will have access to beach chairs, a beach Umbrella and a cooler if you would like. Anything else, just ask and we will try to accommodate ! We try to meet all guests face to face upon check in if possible, but occasionally leave a key under the mat if we aren't going to be around. Other than that- we don't interact with guests much unless we see each other coming and going in the driveway. Feel free to approach us with questions, but we understand how guests prefer privacy on vacation, and we try to respect this. A car is the best way to get downtown- even though it's only a few miles a way there is no bike lane on the Ashley River bridge- so unless you are an experienced bike rider - I would drive- but once you are downtown, walking or biking is the best way to see everything. Closer to home, here in Avondale, almost everything is within walking or biking distance, and it's easy to get around that way. An uber ride downtown is $8-$10.Taxis are fairly inexpensive as well, and there is a city bus that stops a block away, but Charleston isn't known for its public transit, so I can't vouch for it. There are also water taxis that can take you to Mount Pleasant and back! There is a tall set of stairs leading up to the apartment and the shower is pretty small.
Avondale is a trendy community just outside the Charleston peninsula – about 3 miles from the heart of the historic district. It is comprised of several modest but eclectic neighborhoods surrounding a thriving bar and restaurant scene.

    Located in the quiet Wagener Terrace Neighborhood in downtown Charleston just about a 3-5 minute drive (or short bike ride) from Upper King, amazing restaurants and shopping. Gorgeous 76 acre Hampton Park is right around the corner as well as the Citadel Military College and the Ashley River. Our local Charleston farmer's market at Marion Square is just over a mile and half away along with many historic sites. Everything downtown is very convenient and easily accessible by car, taxi, pedicab, or bike. Uber is now alive and well in Charleston. Feel free to bring your own bikes or I can recommend some nearby bike rental companies.

    Perfect for a large family! Just three blocks away from upper King Street, the new epicenter of the city's renowned restaurant and nightlife district. Enjoy some of Charleston's best local dining with The Rarebit, Fuel, The Ordinary, Warehouse, and The Grocery all located within 3 blocks of the rental. Our wonderful cultural city also offers galleries, museums, gorgeous churches, carriage tours, great shopping (all within 1 block), and the beach is just 15 minutes away.
    Guests enter on the main floor. There are no bedrooms on the main floor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a King size bed and one with a Queen size bed. Downstairs there is a twin size trundle bed that sleeps two in two twins. There is a pull-out sofa in the living area on the main floor. The kitchen and living area are on the main floor. The kitchen includes a full size fridge, microwave, toaster oven, stovetop, oven, dishwasher, dinnerware, pots & pans, and basic cooks tools. The living area is sunken. We like to point out that there are two bathrooms, none of which are on the main floor. There is a bathroom upstairs and on the ground floor. We also like to make our guests aware that the stairs in this rental are SPIRAL stairs.
    Our rental is located in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood which is considered the "Gateway to the Peninsula". The streets of this neighborhood have a great energy and youthfulness. Along the Spring Street and Cannon Street corridor there are a number of local restaurants, flower shops, bakeries, and other small boutiques.

    Sweetgrass Cottage, which is one block from the beach, is an example of the original cottages that were built when Isle of Palms was first developed. Just like my listing Seewee Cottage, it's a walk back in time when the IOP was a small bedroom community of Charleston. After Hurricane Hugo many of these cottages were destroyed either by the storm or the wave of a new era of development. Many were torn down and were replaced by the MacMansions of today. It's a cozy place to enjoy the beach
    The Sweetgrass Cottage is a lovely 3 bedroom brick home just one block from the beach. The cottage has hardwood floors throughout the house, an outdoor shower, a fenced in back yard for pets and toddlers, lovely cozy furnishings and a nice back deck with seating and dining options.
    Welcome to Sweetgrass Cottage on Isle of Palms, SC. Isle of Palms is located just 15 miles from Charleston. Originally named Hunting Island and then long Island, it's thought to be at least 25,000 years old, and first inhabited by the indigenous Seewee Indians. It was purchased in 1899 by J. S. Lawrence, who renamed it the Isle of Palms. It was only accessible by Ferry or by railroad until a bridge link to the islands was established in 1946, and at that time most of the Isle Of Palms was purchased by developer JC Long of the Beach Company. As he began Development, JC Long provided low-cost housing to veterans returning from World War II . The Isle of Palms slowly developed into a residential Bedroom community of greater Charleston while still maintaining its charm, Natural beauty, and desirability as a summertime getaway destination.

    You've just found the perfect beach cottage on beautiful Isle of Palms, just a block and a half from the beach, grocery, shops and restaurants . The home has hardwood floors and new furnishings. There's also a fenced in backyard for pets and a nice deck with a grill for lounging and dining. We do require a $30 pet fee which you can pay under the "resolution center" on the Airbnb site.
    Some nice places to eat include The Boathouse, Morgan Creek Grill and Poe's Tavern on Sullivan's Island, just a few miles away. Fun places to walk around include all the shops and restaurants in downtown Isle of Palms, just a 10 minute walk from the cottage

    This wonderful condominium offers you the beach at your doorstep. “Sand Castle” is one of only a handful of properties on the Isle of Palms where you can walk off your screen porch and set your beach chair and umbrella on the beach. As beautiful as the ocean is at Port O Call, you will find it hard to leave this condominium for its beauty inside. Ocean view, bright colors and wonderful furnishings are offered in every room. Even the kitchen shines with stainless steel appliances, new cabinetry and hard surface countertops. The bedding is also amazing in “Sand Castle”, and features a king bed, a daybed and a pull out sleeper sofa. Port O Call features a private pool for the guests staying in this neat community, which is only yards away from the condo. After a week at this wonderful condominium, you’re sure to be dreaming of sunny days and refreshing sea breezes until you can return to “Sand Castle”. March 27, 2014 It was nice to have the beach right outside the door. My family and I made many good memories. The best day was when we spent the whole day on the beach.     Island Pearl is one of the original cottages on Isle Of Palms. Three blocks to beach, about a 7 minute walk. it is in a very quiet area of Isle Of Palms. It has been recently renovated and is a a cozy and charming cottage. The huge back yard has a great deck and fire pit area. There is a garage in the back that houses the washer and dryer. Also provided is 6 beach chairs and a beach wagon.
    Pets are allowed with approval from host. Guest agree to a 250.00 security deposit so I consider that the pet fee. The deposit is only taken if there is a problem.
    Island Pearl sits on a mostly residential street with few short term rentals. Isle of Palms has a noise ordnance that begins at 10 pm to 7 am and guest are asked to adhere to this.

South Carolina Aquarium, world class restaurants and shopping, live theater, live music, museums, and so much more. *All condominiums and sea cabins are not in the same condition! Some of the condominiums and sea cabins have not been updated in many years and are not as nice and allergy-free as this unit. Ceiling and walls have all been replaced with smooth, mold-free sheetrock, new flooring and cabinets. This attractive condo, decorated in a tropical motif, is situated on the second floor of the center "B" building, at the end, where your bedroom shares no neighboring wall or noise. The balcony affords unobstructed panoramic ocean views of the ocean, as we are in the middle bldg facing straight out (the 2 others angle in). This view is also shared from LR and kitchen. There are no elevators. The first floor has limited view, and our 2nd floor view is as great as 3rd without so much climbing. The sunset is very nice over the entrance/ back porch area. Being an end unit gives us a bit larger balcony and a small space as back porch which the others don't have. PRIVACY! This condo also offers individual privacy. The hall with built-in bunk beds closes off to be its own private room for smaller guests with a nightlight and air/white noise machine available. The adults can then go back and forth from balcony/LR/kitchen to BR thru the seperate batroom door without waking the kids. The sleeper sofa adds extra sleeping as needed, and is super comfy with back pillows off as an overlarge twin if just 1 person uses it to sleep. 14% SC Accommodations tax is included in your quote (Airbnb pays the 10% State/ I pay the 4% county) 4 adults max. 5 max adult/children mix. 1 Parking pass will be waiting for you inside, and must be left on counter at check-out. If you want to drive 15 mins to a beach, we have off street private parking. Convenience store across the street! The apartment is currently unfurnished. Wecan furnish the apartment for a yearly or 6 month rental. Off street parking comes with the stay in beautiful downtown Charleston.
    This is a classical architectural Charleston single home built in circa 1860. Ideally located in downtown charleston, about center of the peninsula. It is a small two story brick building with the narrow side of the apartment facing the street. The long covered porch with haint blue ceilings is the perfect way to enjoy the moderate temperatures of the fall, winter and spring. You'll be a quick 1½ block walk to the best beach on the East coast and its local restaurants and stores and a short drive away from Charleston, one of the world's favorite tourist and gourmet destinations.
    Our home is a traditional-style (1955) two unit duplex, nestled under oak trees on a quiet, residential street and a safe, comfortable place for a family or a group of vacationing friends. Located on the ground level, you'll have your own deck with seating and a grill off of the kitchen where you can sit outside with your cup of coffee in the morning or enjoy a quiet evening grilling out. It also has an outdoor shower for your convenience and for keeping sand outside! You are a short walk (about 3-5 minutes) to the ocean and an easy walk or bike ride to popular restaurants and town stores to the right as you leave the house. We are also very conveniently located--close to the connector to Mt. Pleasant and Charleston. We provide all linens, beach towels, beach chairs, a cart, and our three beach cruiser bikes. The marina, golf course, kayak, and paddle board rental are two miles away. Additional bicycles can be rented and delivered, and beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rental and set up. We have surfboards available by request.
