Sightseeing
An incredible experience, combining stunning sightseeing, Maori cultural and linguistic insight as well as the opportunity to see Kaikoura ocean wild life, including whales, dolphins and birdlife. My own recommendation is to safe guard against motion sickness if possible and/or if you are susceptible and there is swell, it's a beautiful trip to do and would be sad to have to deal with sea sickness along the way.

The travel itself is comfortable and beautiful in scenery, without the distraction of driving, however, a rental vehicle is necessary for getting around Kaikoura and to get to Black Mountain Accommodation from the train station and return - it is approximately a 10 minute drive between Black Mountain and Kaikoura train station, town centre and supermarket.
