In my opinion this walk is one of the best kept secrets in nz. If the weather is nice then it is a must do! You can either park at the seal colony on point kean and walk across and back which will take around and hour or so depending on how many photos you stop for, or you can walk from the air B&B which is around a 2.5 hour round trip. The views are stunning and you can spot plenty of fur seals, and if you’re lucky maybe some dolphins, orcas or even during winter you can see the odd whale. Make sure you walk up and across the top of the peninsula as the walk around the bottom can take a lot longer if you have to dodge the seals.

This is a must do while in Kaikoura. The walk takes about 2-3 hours. Spot whales and dolphins and take in the most spectacular views from the ocean to the mountains.
