While Longview's private grounds provide visitors with a place of peaceful rest. We are just one mile from Orr Hot Springs Resort, where visitors can partake in the resort's day services. A few miles away is Montgomery Woods, a pristine redwood grove. Worthy day trips include Mendocino Village, Anderson Valley's wine country and Hopland. FOODIES: Longview’s open kitchen, two 8 person tables (one indoor, one outdoor) and private setting make it well-suited for intimate gatherings around cooking and dining together. A collection of Heath dinnerware - Sausalito's celebrated mid-century ceramics - ensures feasting in modern style. A picnic lunch on one of the property's scenic outlooks is also highly recommended. Ukiah's Food Coop and local culture make fresh fixings easily accessible. FAMILIES: Longview is a family home, with three bedrooms well suited toward everyone having their own space. One Queen bedroom has a beautiful daybed and space large enough for three younger children to share. Our large open studio space is great for ping pong, indoor soccer, basketball, darts and drums. Dotted around the property visitors will find hammocks to rest in, chairs inviting contemplation of Mendocino’s epic wilderness and a fire pit for gathering around under our big night skies. This unique studio lies four miles inland from Dillon Beach,near Sonoma wine country and its staggeringly beautiful coastline and beaches. The bucolic one-acre parcel is home to deer, wild turkey, rabbits and many species of birds, who come to the many fruit and cypress trees on the property. The studio is charming and cozy with queen-sized bed, electric fireplace and windows with views on three sides. The private deck and windowed gazebo provide a most beautiful place to eat, read or relax.

Chapel Cottage on African hoof stock preserve

Eco-friendly 2 bedroom cottages with small kitchens and private hot tubs on the deck. Walking distance to the hippie-hamlet of Point Arena. Units are located on a 110 acre African hoof stock preserve which is accessed by tour reservation only. May NOT be appropriate for young children as many breakable objects and a small lake in front. In order to see the animals, you must book a tour. Guests are not allowed to roam around the property due to the animals. No Pets.
