Or hop on the Highway 1/3 mile away. 3.5 miles to Airport, 30 to Redwood National & State Parks. We’ll share walls so you’ll sometimes hear me, though I try to be a considerate neighbor. From the deck of this one bedroom architecturally modern space, beautiful bayfront sunsets can be enjoyed. Arcata is a very pedestrian friendly, small town. Cocooned by Redwoods, Sitka Spruce and Huckleberries. A ladder leads you to the cozy sleeping loft, where you can gaze at the stars through the two huge skylights. Just down the steps across the OUTDOOR LIVING ROOM, step into the "Shower Grotto", inside an Old Growth Redwood Stump with a Rain Shower.

Excellent location with views of the redwood forest. Our bungalow is fully equipped. Come home with your farmer's market bounty and make use of the well-stocked kitchen or balcony grill. Get cozy in the living room at the push of a button with the gas fireplace and Smart TV. Sleep soundly on either the king or queen-sized bed. If you have extra people I can provide an air mattress. Walk from your door to Cal Poly Humboldt, the Arcata Plaza, and Shay Park. A wonderful home base.

Welcome to our secluded grotto surrounded by Redwoods! This modern and quiet space will be a perfect respite for the many reasons you may be coming to Humboldt. Along with our local craftsman, we have created an oasis that will allow you to soak up the Redwoods, listen to the birds and watch the deer graze. Walking distance to the Majestic Arcata Community forest and Cal Poly Humboldt. As Arcata natives, we wanted to bring you a unique and unforgettable Humboldt experience.

The YumYum Bungalow Cottage

The YumYum is an eclectic studio cottage nestled between town center and the redwood forest. The Community Redwood Forest, Cal Poly, and the Arcata Plaza are all just a short, lovely neighborhood walk away. The cottage was lovingly created using all natural (and often local materials). Most of the wood is salvaged old-growth meaning it might be as old as 2,000 years! Hosting is our passion and we take pride and joy in the honor to welcome you.

A cozy experience at this studio located just minutes from the heart of Arcata and the beautiful redwoods awaits you! There is one queen sized bed. This property is located in a friendly neighborhood, and it has an added convenience of being right near a grocery store. These conveniences may not always bring the quietest location, but you’ll feel like one of the locals. Amenities: Free parking, WiFi, a mini-kitchen.
