Have dinner at one of our Marina's with live music on weekends. Bring your boat, rent one from Marina, or ask us about renting our pontoon. Fall colors are here a must see. If you visit on the weekend, Pickers Paradise yes the same from TV show has two locations here. You have to visit.

Beach Island Marina is a 6 minute drive from the house which features boat rentals, a boat ramp and a seasonal restaurant often with live music. Easy access from Maynardville Hwy (TN SR 33) - No twisty, windy roads here. 30 minutes north of Knoxville.

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.
