Generally considered an easy hike, this 4 mile loop takes an average of 90 minutes to complete. It is a very popular area for cross country skiing, hiking, and fishing. Bring a picnic & your swimsuit.

Beautiful, easy 4 mile loop around a beautiful mountain lake. Parking is difficult so recommend leaving early.

Monarch lake trail is a 4 mile (relatively easy) hike. In the winter it is a 6 mile hike as the main parking lot is closed (parking still available). Crater Lake is a 14 mile total hike at the same entrance. Monarch lake offers fishing and is a great place to paddle board or kayak. Plus it’s dog friendly!
