Buses to & from Geeveston a few times a day but no public transport to any local attractions.

The rural bus service is relatively infrequent, so check their timetable and plan ahead. There are two bus stops in Ranelagh, one adjoining Helen Street.

Bookings are not required. Ensure you are at the bus stop 10 minutes prior to departure and hail the driver. Service operates 7 days a week - 12 services Monday to Friday and 6 services on Saturday and Sunday. Public Holidays as per timetables. Route 713 - Cygnet - From Hobart:- Kingston, Leslie Vale, Sandfly, Lower Longley, Grove, , Huonville, Cradoc then onto Cygnet. Route 712 - Dover - From Hobart:- Kingston, Leslie Vale, Sandfly, Lower Longley, Grove, Ranelagh, Huonville, Franklin, Geeveston then onto Dover. Route 711 - Geeveston - From Hobart:- Kingston, Leslie Vale, Sandfly, Lower Longley, Grove, Ranelagh, Huonville, Franklin then onto Geeveston.
