A perennial favorite and must-see "U Pick" apple orchard located in a scenic valley. No visit to apple country should miss this. Known for their apple cider donuts which taste even more amazing thrown in a blistering hot oven for a few minutes to get them crispy again. Kids play area. On weekends they often have hay rides and other fun activities. Assorted jellies, fruits, veggies, and pies also available in their marketplace. Odd hours, call first: www.markermillerorchards.com

(Winchester, VA) The current farm market is on the land that the owners great-grandfather, Amos Marker, bought back on July 11, 1908. The stone house on the farm dates back to 1811 and is known as "Paxton." Currently, the fourth and fifth generations are farming this land. John D. Marker, started planting apple orchards in the 1930's and they continue to do so today. J. Ralph Marker, expanded the orchards and added peaches in the late 1940's and early 1950's. He passed away in 1953. Ada Marker, and aunt, Fay Marker-Miller, continued the management of the farms and orchards. That is how the name Marker-Miller Orchards originated.

The BEST apple cider doughnuts. We buy our doughnuts, sit in the rocking chair, and watch our kids play on the incredible playground. Check their website for seasonal pick-your-own produce.
