Charlestown Breachway is a state-owned beach. It's a great beach that is next to the breachway (the inlet for Ninigret Pond). You'll find some great shore break and overall a great family beach. The facilities here are limited to bathrooms so you'll have to pack some food if you plan on staying the day. Parking fills up very quickly so getting in line before the lot even opens is your best bet. There's a sign 2 miles before the entrance to the beach that will let you know if parking is full so you don't have to make the drive all the way down.

This golden sand beach offers a panoramic view of Block Island Sound and is known as one of the best saltwater fishing areas in South County.
