If you enjoy the natural bush of New Zealand take a hike up to the Wairere Falls. Magnificent views surrounded by idyllic nature scenes. Warier Falls is the highest waterfall in N.Z's North Island, plunging 153 metres over the Kaimai escarpment. Not suitable for wheel chairs or push chairs.

This walking track runs from the car park at the end of Goodwin Road, up the valley along the stream to a viewing platform, and then to the top of the plateau and the crest of the Wairere Falls which is the highest waterfall in New Zealand's North Island, plunges 153 metres (500 feet) in two steps over the Kaimai escarpment.

This is a stunner of a waterfall. You can either hike halfway approximately 40mins to the lower lookout or head right to the top for outstanding views.

Wairere Falls Track weaves its way through moss covered rocks and tree roots. Large round boulders form natural pools and cascading waterfalls. It usually takes 3-4 hours.
