Fantastic high-end Japanese restaurant in an amazing setting. A restored county home once belonging to Lord Beaverbrook. Booking in advance advisable. Also you can have English/European food at the Garden House. A lovely place to visit and service is excellent.

A treat of a day out. Take the train to Leatherhead or the bus and take a walk of about a mile up to the Beaverbrook estate. The hotel has been refurbished and kept many of the old features and history of Lord Beaverbrook. My favourite is to go for afternoon tea but do the one hour walk beforehand. You will need to book. It also offers an extremely good Japanese restaurant and a more traditional Garden House restaurant where they also do cookery courses for half a day. All needs to be booked in advance.

A luxury British country estate nestled in the picturesque Surrey Hills. Dine at the Japanese Grill or Garden House restaurant or have a drink at Sir Frank’s bar. Enjoy time at the spa in the pools and treatment rooms, then take a walk through their woodland and garden.
