good, a more traditional village pub with older country folk as regulars. Expect men returning from shoots (with pedal pushers and foxy hats) to be at the bar. The beer is excellent, the food is old style pub (and they serve our cheese, Renegade Monk!). It is 20 minutes walk west from the cottage along a lovely quiet marsh lane so very good if you don’t want to drive.
