It is a unique and beautiful place to go for hiking and enjoying at the same time Qadisha valley, the one of the most important early Christian monastic settlements in the world.

Kadisha Valley is very peaceful place that you should visit in summer and even in winter. In summer, you can easily enjoy yourself there for a few days, exploring the valley, the quiet mountain village of Bcharre and the nearby old cedar forest. Other highlights include a hike to the highest peak of Qornet es-Sawda; a visit to the ponds and springs of Oyoun Orghosh, the summer town and nature reserve of Ehden, the Tannourine Nature Reserve and close-by Balaa sinkhole; or a lunch or dinner at the waterfalls in Kfar Helda. Be aware that even in summer, evenings can get chilly. In winter, the duration of your stay in this area all depends on how much of a snow fanatic you are.

The Valley of Kadisha is a beautiful historical valley 50km north. You can spend a full day or two even walking from the ancient Convent of Mar Antonios ( St Anthony) , which host the first printing machine in Lebanon. Great rural restaurants in the area. A great destination for eco tourism
