Faro is the capital of the Algarve and is about an hours drive from Benagil. It has lots of historic buildings including a cathedral. There is a pleasant pedestrianised area with shops, cafes and restaurants and lovely vibes.

Faro has some beautiful architecture, nice esplanades, gardens, restaurants, etc... Good place to wonder around. You can go on a boat day out trip around the beautiful Ria Formosa.

Faro is 1 hour and 20 minutes drive south. Here you will find traditional shopping centers and larger stores and businesses.

Faro down town is wonderful. Capital of Algarve. In the small harbour a boat trip is worth it

A nice town with old part. Many nice buildings, nice cafes and local restaurants. Something always happens there in the evening during the tourist season.
