Soetwater is situated on the Atlantic in the deep south of the Cape Peninsula near Kommetjie lighthouse. Located in a pristine wilderness area wedged between the mountains of the Slangkop Nature Reserve and the Atlantic ocean, the resort offers surfing, camping, and is a nice place to walk and cycle. It also hosts an environmental centre shaped like a whale, as well as braai and campsites and a richly endowed rocky shore, including a tidal pool.
