We are creative types who left Los Angeles in 2010 seeking a richer, more serene lifestyle inside nature. Stephanie is an architectural designer, Jay is founder/editor of Arthur Magazine. We live in Joshua Tree full-time and rent out our three restored homestead cabins (with a fourth on the way). We're active in the local community and we also maintain ties to friends and colleagues in LA and beyond. We're excited to meet you and we offer you a warm welcome.

Awesome studio unit/cabin in the desert. Since we went in December, we were appreciative of the heaters in the unit. Place was very clean and our navigation system took us to the location no problem. The road prior to the unit is unpaved and we were glad we took the SUV but any sedan can make do. We were skeptical on the water heater but we were proven wrong and we had plenty of hot water for showers and such. Would recommend to a friend.

The location of Stephanie and Jay’s place is super cool! Very private with nice views and amazing stargazing. Note: you will need to drive on sand roads to get to it.

Stephanie and Jay made a big deal about how to get to the place which stressed us out. We found that Google maps offered the same directions even though they specified not to use Google maps.

The place is very clean, but missing some basic amenities. The bed was extremely uncomfortable; wobbly and thin.
