Micah was the most humble, patient, and knowledgeable instructor — especially for people like us who had no idea what we were doing! For all three of us Californians coming in unsure and a little nervous about the unknown, he taught us incredibly valuable lessons before even stepping into the ocean. His clear and thorough instruction made it so much easier for us to get up, find our balance, and ride the waves with confidence. Which we made plenty of rounds!!

This was truly an amazing experience. Micah is genuine, humble, and embodies the true spirit of the islands. If you’re looking for surf lessons — especially as a first-timer or someone who isn’t completely comfortable in the ocean — Micah is absolutely your best bet. Mahalo!

We had an amazing first-time surfing lesson with Micah! He started with a clear explanation of the basics and made us feel as confident as we could before getting in the water. With his guidance, we were able to catch a few waves and even got some awesome GoPro shots from the session.

I have an adventurous 5 year old little girl, all she really wanted to do on this trip was go surfing. I’m so glad I booked this with Micah, he and Anna were very accommodating and easy going. It was the highlight of our girls trip. They put my momma worries at ease, they are both very knowledgeable, and patient. I also never thought I’d try surfing at 40 years old…the things we do for our kids. They truly work with your comfort level. The meeting point was close to our hotel in Waikiki so we just walked there. Micah was really great about answering any questions prior to booking, and keeping in touch leading up to our lesson. The go pro pics and videos were perfect. He truly captured the moment. Especially my daughter’s beaming smile and her enthusiastic squeals.
